Background
Located in Barcelona’s vibrant Poblenou district, Ibis Styles Barcelona City Bogatell is a modern, eco-certified hotel that offers a comfortable and stylish stay. The hotel provides easy access to both the seaside (Bogatell Beach at 12min walk) and the city’s cultural landmarks (Sagrada Familia at 15min walk). Guests can enjoy amenities such as a rooftop pool, a Mediterranean-inspired bar, and family-friendly facilities, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.
About the Project
The goal of this project was to create a short promotional video that presents the hotel experience through the eyes of a guest. From check-in to breakfast, relaxing in the room, enjoying a cocktail by the pool, and exploring nearby landmarks, the video highlights the full range of services the hotel offers. The final edit had to last around 1 minutes and needed to align with the Ibis Styles brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in style, pace, and mood.
My Role
Starting early in the morning, I filmed on-site using my camera mounted on a gimbal to create smooth, dynamic shots. Working with a hotel employee as the on-screen guest/model, I directed her throughout the day to capture a natural walkthrough of the hotel.
In the afternoon, we extended the shoot to the city, filming key Barcelona landmarks like Sagrada Familia and the nearby Bogatell Beach to add local flavor to the story.
In post-production, I carefully followed the brand’s visual and audio guidelines, to deliver a polished and on-brand final video.
